A modest place right next to the equally popular Kwetiau Sapi Mangga Besar 78 that offers not-so-standard Pontianak-style kwetiau for Rp 17,000 (fried, or with gravy; Rp 23,000 for the “special” version). But best is the exquisite bakmi kepiting spesial, with flavour and texture resembling the finest spaghetti aglio olio, the garlic well-worked into al dente pasta, atop which sits a piece of soft-boiled crab and other wonderful tidbits. At a meagre Rp 22,000, this is one of our city’s assets.
